Privacy & your datalast updated 2026-08-20

markedcv.com is a small tool run by its developer. It exists to do one thing — check your CV against a job posting — and your data is used for that and nothing else: no training, no advertising, no selling or sharing.

What is stored

Signing in with Google gives markedcv.com your email address and an account ID. Uploading a CV stores the original file and the text extracted from it, so you can re-run checks without re-uploading. Each check stores the posting you checked, the generated report, and the company brief. All of it lives in Supabase (the database and file-storage provider) and is visible only to your account and to the developer operating the service.

Who processes your CV

To produce a report, your CV text and the posting text are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API, the model that does the parsing and scoring. The company brief is built separately from the company’s name and public web sources, using Tavily (web search) and a Nebius-hosted model — your CV is never sent to either of those. Company briefs are cached and shared across users, but they contain nothing from you or your CV.

Diagnostics

markedcv.com keeps technical traces of each run to debug failures and track cost. Traces can include the text being processed; email addresses and phone numbers are scrubbed before a trace is stored.

Analytics and advertising measurement

If you allow it, markedcv.com measures visits with Google Analytics and Google Ads, to work out which links and adverts are worth paying for. It records the pages you looked at, the buttons you pressed, whether you created an account, whether you ran a check, and whether a purchase went through — never your CV, your reports, or the postings you check. When you arrive from an advert, the click identifier Google puts in the link is kept so that a later sign-up can be matched back to it.

Until you press “Allow” on the bar at the bottom of the page, none of that is stored on your device and Google receives no cookie. Personalised advertising is switched off whatever you answer: marked.cv does not build audiences and does not retarget anyone. Say no and the site works exactly the same.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to them and never reach markedcv.com — all we store is a Stripe customer reference, how many checks you have left, and whether a subscription is active. Stripe gets your email address so they can send the receipt.

How long it is kept

Until you delete it. Nothing expires on its own, and nothing survives deletion — with one exception: payment and invoice records are kept for as long as tax law requires, by us and by Stripe, even after you delete your account here.

Delete everything

Deleting your account removes every CV file, every extracted text, every check and report, your remaining checks, and the account itself — immediately and permanently. Unused checks are not refunded.

Sign in and open this page again to delete your data with one click.
