The short version: if markedcv.com didn’t do what you expected, email info@markedcv.com within 14 days and you’ll get your money back. There are three free checks precisely so you can find that out before paying.

The 14-day window

Any purchase can be refunded within 14 days of payment if you’ve used little or none of it. “Little” is not a trap: a handful of checks out of 25 still gets a full refund. If you’ve worked through most of a pack and then ask, we’ll talk about a partial refund rather than pretend the service wasn’t delivered.

Because checks are delivered immediately, starting to use them means you’ve asked for the service to begin straight away. Under EU and UK consumer law that can end the automatic 14-day right of withdrawal for the part you’ve used — but this policy is deliberately more generous than the legal minimum, and your statutory rights are unaffected either way.

Checks you were never charged for

A check only ever costs a credit when a report is produced and saved. A posting that couldn’t be fetched, a link that turned out not to be a job posting, or a run that failed partway costs you nothing, and re-running a posting you already checked is free for 30 days. If you think you were charged for a check that didn’t produce a report, tell us and we’ll put the credit back — that’s a bug, not a sale.

Cancelling Pro

Cancel any time from the billing portal linked on the privacy page, or by emailing us. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it isn’t a refund of the month you’re in. Your checks stay usable until the end of the period you’ve already paid for, and nothing is taken after that.

If a renewal caught you by surprise — you’d finished your search, the month rolled over, and you haven’t run a check since — email us within 14 days of that payment and we’ll refund it.

How to ask

Email info@markedcv.com from the address on your account, quoting the receipt if you still have it. Tell us roughly what went wrong — not because you’re being assessed, but because it’s usually the only way the underlying problem gets fixed.

We issue the refund through Stripe, back to the original payment method. It usually leaves us the same day we agree it; how fast the money reappears after that depends on your bank or card issuer, typically five to ten working days.

What happens to your checks

When a payment is refunded, the checks it bought stop being available — a refunded pack can’t keep working. Your free checks, your CVs and your saved reports are untouched, and your account carries on unless you delete it.

Deleting your account is immediate and permanent, and unused checks aren’t automatically refunded when you do it. If you want both, ask for the refund first and delete afterwards.
