These terms cover your use of markedcv.com. Using the service means you agree to them. They’re written to be read, not to be survived — if anything here is unclear, ask before you buy.
Who you’re dealing with
markedcv.com is operated by markedcv.com, Amberg, Germany. Questions, complaints and cancellation requests go to info@markedcv.com, and are normally answered within a few working days.
markedcv.com is the seller. Card payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. on our behalf — they handle the card details and we never see them — but your contract for the service is with us, and anything you need doing about it comes to the address above.
What the service does
You give markedcv.com a job posting and a CV. It reads both and returns a marked-up copy of your CV: highlighted where you meet a requirement, flagged where you partly meet it, listed where you don’t, together with a score and a short researched brief about the company.
What it doesn’t do
The report is produced by language models and automated web search. It is an opinion generated from text, not a professional assessment and not a prediction of whether you’ll be hired. It can misread a posting, miss something in your CV, or state something about a company that is out of date or wrong. Check anything that matters before you rely on it. markedcv.com does not apply for jobs on your behalf, contact employers, or send your CV anywhere other than the providers described in the privacy policy.
Your account
You sign in with a Google account and you’re responsible for what happens under it. Accounts are for one person; the checks that come with a plan are for your own use, not for reselling or sharing. You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
Checks and credits
Every plan is measured in checks. A new account gets three free checks, which expire one month after you first sign in. Paid plans add more:
Job Hunt is a one-time purchase of 25 checks, which expire six months after purchase. Pro is a monthly subscription of 60 checks per month, which expire at the end of the month they were granted for. Unused checks do not roll over, and expired checks are gone.
A check is spent only when a report is actually produced and saved. If the posting can’t be fetched, isn’t a job posting, or the run fails, you aren’t charged for it. Re-running a posting you’ve already checked is free for 30 days, so you can edit your CV and check again without spending a second credit.
Where several credits are available, the ones expiring soonest are used first. Current prices and what each plan includes are on the pricing page.
Payment and renewal
Prices are in euro and include VAT where it applies. Pro renews automatically each month until you cancel, and cancelling stops the next renewal — your checks stay usable until the end of the period you’ve paid for. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal linked on the privacy page, or by emailing us. Refunds are covered by the refund policy.
If a payment is refunded or charged back, the checks bought with it stop being available.
Your CV stays yours
You keep every right in the documents you upload. You give markedcv.com permission to store and process them for the sole purpose of producing your reports and letting you re-run checks. Your CV is not used to train models, is not sold, and is not shared beyond the providers listed in the privacy policy. Deleting your account deletes it.
Only upload documents you’re entitled to upload. If a CV contains someone else’s personal data — a referee’s details, for instance — you’re responsible for having a basis to share it.
Fair use
Don’t script the service, resell access to it, try to extract the prompts or models behind it, work around the credit system, or use it to process documents unrelated to job applications. Don’t upload anything unlawful. Accounts doing any of this can be suspended, and seriously abusive ones closed without a refund of unused checks.
Availability
markedcv.com is a small service run by one developer. It aims to be available and usually is, but there’s no uptime guarantee, and it depends on third parties — Google for sign-in, Supabase for storage, Anthropic and others for the models — any of which can have a bad day. Features may change. If the service is discontinued altogether, you’ll be told in advance and refunded for checks you paid for and couldn’t use.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be limited by law — including your statutory rights as a consumer, which these terms don’t affect. Beyond that, markedcv.com isn’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, including a job you didn’t get, and total liability is limited to what you paid in the twelve months before the claim.
Ending it
You can stop using markedcv.com whenever you like and delete everything from the privacy page in one click. Deletion is immediate and permanent, and unused checks aren’t refunded when you choose to delete — if you want a refund, ask for it first.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change as the service does. The date at the top is the current version, and material changes affecting an active subscription will be sent to you by email before they take effect. Continuing to use markedcv.com after that means the new terms apply.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of United States. If you’re a consumer in the EU or UK, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country and may use the EU’s online dispute resolution platform. Please email first — most things are quicker to fix directly.
